ABOUT SUN RAY TRAVELS
The pearl of the Indian Ocean Sri Lanka, reflects a long history of its nations. Sri Lanka, which was named as Ceylon is a green, tropical island, which is rich in culture and heritage, natural beauty, and wildlife with welcoming people, cheap prices, fun trains, famous tea, and flavorful food. It is gifted with nine World Heritage Sites, 14 national parks, 86 species of mammals, including elephants and leopards, flourishing hill country where tea is grown and an Indian Ocean coastline with sandy beaches.
Sri Lanka is a year-round destination with two monsoon seasons so there is a lot of confusion around when is the best time to visit. The monsoons affect different sides of the island at different times. In the south, southwest and hill country, November to April is the best time to come, when the southwest monsoon has just finished. In the north and east, it is better to visit when it is dry but hot from April to September. Throughout the year, the hill country always feels much cooler. Temperatures remain pretty much the same throughout the year in Sri Lanka.
